At least three police personnel sustained injuries as miscreants blasted cocktails targeting a patrol car of police in the capital’s Uttara House Building area on Sunday afternoon.
Police detained a former Chhatra Dal leader in red-handed after the incident.
The detainee is Kazi Md Hasan, former vice-president of Gazipur City Chhatra Dal.
Confirming the injured figure, Uttara West Police Station officer-in-charge Md Masud Alam said the detainee is being quizzed about the cocktail blast.
BNP is enforcing two-day blockade across the country from Sunday to meet its various demands.
