The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has registered 1,993 cases against traffic violators in different areas of the capital.
Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) of the DMP's Media and Public Relations Department, confirmed the information on Tuesday, November 26.
The cases were filed as part of a raid carried out by the DMP's Traffic Division on Monday, November 25.
Talebur Rahman stated that 32 vehicles were impounded and 56 were damaged during the operation. He also mentioned that the DMP's Traffic Division will continue its efforts to uphold traffic discipline in the Dhaka metropolitan area.
