Prominent artiste Mosharraf Karim's film Chokkor 302 will be released this Eid ul-Fitr, directed by filmmaker and actor Sharaf Ahmed Jibon.
The movie has already received certification from the Censorship Board. The official announcement for its release is the only thing pending now.
Director Jibon said, "We are preparing for the release, but we haven’t made the official announcement yet. It will be made soon."
Regarding the promotional campaign, Jibon shared, "Since our film is story-centric, we don’t have much content for promotions. We will kick off the full campaign later. We got the censorship certificate about a month and a half ago, and as it's a government-funded film, it was also cleared by the Ministry of Information."
Superstar Shakib Khan's Borbaad, Siam Ahmed's Jongli, and Afran Nisho's Daagi are also set to release this Eid. However, Jibon doesn’t view these other releases as competition for his film. He stated, "I didn’t create the film to compete but to connect with the audience. The story is ours, it’s a reflection of our country, and it revolves around human relationships. If the audience connects with the story and characters, they will enjoy the movie. I don’t see it as a challenge."
Mosharraf Karim stars in the lead role in Chakkor, with Rikita Nandini Shimu playing the opposite role.
The first look poster of the movie was released in March last year. It’s known that Mosharraf's character, Moinul, is a detective police officer.
The film received funding from the government in the 2021-22 fiscal year. Initially, the movie was titled Bicharaloy but was later renamed Chakkor 302 as per the Ministry's instructions.
