Yousef S.Y. Ramadan, the Ambassador of Palestine to Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir.
The courtesy call was held at the Prime Minister's Office on Thursday morning.
The Foreign Ministry said that during the meeting, sincere and fruitful discussions were held on the historical and brotherly relations between Bangladesh and Palestine, bilateral cooperation and various issues of mutual interest.
The Foreign Affairs Advisor reiterated Bangladesh's continued support for the Palestinian people and highlighted Bangladesh's position towards establishing a just and sustainable peace in the international arena. He reiterated Bangladesh's strong support for the establishment of the justified rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of an independent, sovereign state.
The Palestinian Ambassador expressed his sincere gratitude for the long-standing unwavering support of the government and people of Bangladesh. He expressed his desire to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between the two countries and expand new areas of cooperation through increased trade, education, culture and people-to-people contacts.
