The government has set up a five-member cabinet committee to finalise the draft Cyber Security (Amendment) Act, 2026.
Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam will lead the committee as its convener.
The committee will review the draft law and submit the necessary recommendations before its finalisation.
The other members of the committee are -- Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman, Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan, and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman.
The Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard on Thursday.
