Rumours surrounding actress Naznin Nahar Niha’s personal life have resurfaced after she updated her relationship status on Facebook, prompting widespread speculation about a possible engagement.
However, the actress has clarified that she is not engaged and that the status update has been widely misunderstood.
On Monday, Niha changed her relationship status on her Facebook profile to "Engaged," triggering a wave of reactions from fans and followers.
Many assumed that the actress had secretly gotten engaged and flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages, while others eagerly asked about the identity of her future husband or jokingly demanded sweets to celebrate the occasion.
Despite the growing buzz, Niha initially remained silent, neither responding to the comments nor addressing the rumours on social media.
Later, speaking to a local media outlet, the actress dismissed the speculation, explaining that people had interpreted her Facebook status too literally.
"I did not mention engagement anywhere. I only wrote 'engaged.' That simply means I am no longer single. I am in a relationship with someone or something. You will know the rest when the time comes," she said.
“I like to be honest from my place. My Facebook status being 'engaged' means I am no longer single. Just as no one had to find out this information, I chose to share it myself. Similarly, I will reveal the identity of the person at the appropriate time,” she added.
Although the actress has confirmed that she is in a relationship, she is not ready to disclose the identity of her partner. According to Niha, she will share further details when she feels the time is right.
