The newly appointed acting chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Ahsan Habib, has said that revenue collection is a big challenge. However, we will face that challenge unitedly.
He said this during an exchange of views between the outgoing chairman of the NBR and the newly appointed chairman of the finance department at the secretariat on Tuesday afternoon.
Expressing his hope of fulfilling his duties with honesty and integrity, he has further said that if each of the 18 crore people fulfills his duties properly, the country will progress. If the country works with honesty and integrity, it will move forward.
Then, outgoing chairman Md. Abdur Rahman Khan said, “although revenue collection is a challenge, it is not impossible.”
Earlier on Monday, the government appointed tax administration officer Ahsan Habib as the new acting chairman of the NBR in a notification. He replaced Md. Abdur Rahman Khan.
