Five more people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours across the country. At the same time, 124 people have been admitted to various hospitals in the country due to dengue.
This information was shared in a press release on dengue sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Monday.
The number of deaths from dengue this year has increased to 18.
The release said that out of the five dengue patients who died in the last 24 hours till 8 am, two are residents of Chattogram division, one is from Dhaka North City Corporation area, one is from Dhaka South City Corporation area and one is from Mymensingh division.
124 people infected with dengue have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours. With this, 5,924 dengue patients have been hospitalized so far this year. Of these, 5,455 have recovered and been discharged from the hospital so far, including 100 in the last 24 hours.
