The Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit of Bashundhara Shuvosangho hosted an iftar programme on Sunday to bring together members of the campus community.
Around 80 members of the social volunteer platform participated in the event, held at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the university.
Shuvosangho organises merit scholarships and facilitates social and cultural activities for students every month. Before the iftar, member Swadhin Islam led a prayer for the country and humanity.
"Shuvosangho is involved in various social and cultural initiatives at Jahangirnagar University. We are eager to expand our efforts in the future," said Md Asaduzzaman, assistant organising secretary of the JU unit.
Kaler Kantho’s JU correspondent Mehedi Islam, Shuvosangho general secretary Fairuz Jannat, vice-president Ashura Azad, organising secretary Munshi Mohammad Ehsan Amin, finance secretary Abdullah Al Noman, work and planning secretary Mahzabin Afroz, and executive member Maisha Zain were also present at the event.
