Bashundhara Tissue and Bashundhara Shuvosangho distributed fruit tree saplings for free among primary school students in Kapasia, Gazipur on Monday.
The students' faces lit up with joy upon receiving the saplings, transforming the school grounds into a vibrant celebration of greenery. As part of the nationwide tree plantation campaign, the program was organised at the playground of Kamargaon Government Primary School in Kapasia.
The saplings were handed over to the students by the school's Headmaster Md Jahangir Alam. Also present were Assistant Teachers Md Mohsin Mia, Saiful Islam, Aklima Khatun, Machuma, Lipi Rani Pal, and Refayet Ullah, along with students, teachers, members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho, journalists, and local dignitaries.
Headmaster Md Jahangir Alam said, “We are delighted to be part of this noble initiative by Bashundhara Shuvosangho. The excitement shown by my students after receiving the saplings is truly inspiring. We hope that Bashundhara Group will bring about a green revolution across the country through its tree plantation efforts.”
Md Farid Mia, president of the Bashundhara Shuvosangho Library in Char Khirati, Kapasia, and Assistant Teacher of Kamargaon Government Primary School, said, “‘Standing beside everyone in good deeds’ is the commitment that drives Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s humanitarian and social activities across the country. As part of that commitment, tree saplings have been distributed among students in Kapasia. If we want to keep the Earth green, everyone must come forward to plant trees.” Assistant Teacher.
Md Refayet Ullah said, “I congratulate Bashundhara Shuvosangho for undertaking such a timely initiative.”
