4 get life term for 2005 murder in Narayanganj

A Narayanganj court on Tuesday sentenced four persons to life imprisonment for killing a man in 2005.  

The court also fined Tk 50,000 each.

Judge of the Narayanganj Additional Session Judge court-2, Humaira Tabassum handed down the verdict.

The convicts are -- Latif, Ratan and Awal of Netrokona district and Shahidul of Barishal district.

Among the convicts, Latif, Ratan and Awal tried in absentia.

According to the prosecution, the convicts killed Md Daud, a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver of Rupganj upazila in Narayanganj district in a bid to snatch away the vehicle in 2005.
