Farmers from the Bangladesh Poultry Association's Thakurgaon district branch held a protest, formed a human chain, and submitted a memorandum in Thakurgaon to voice their six-point demands. The demonstration took place on Tuesday afternoon, with farmers gathering at the Thakurgaon Press Club premises under the association's banner.
The procession moved through several streets in the city before reaching the city crossroads, where the farmers formed a human chain.
Jahangir Alam, President of the Thakurgaon District Branch of the Bangladesh Poultry Association, and Jabed Ali, General Secretary, along with other leaders, addressed the gathering at the human chain. The speakers strongly urged the fulfillment of their six-point demands, which included the implementation of fair prices for eggs and chickens, as well as resolving the chick supply crisis.
