The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that certain groups have misunderstood the immediate walkout by some delegates during the Israeli delegate's speech at the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, held on 18 February 2025, in Marrakesh, Morocco, reports UNB.
"This is to inform that the Bangladesh delegation was also among the countries that walked out," said the Ministry in a statement on Friday.
The MoFA said in its statement that Bangladesh's position on Palestinian cause and Israeli genocide and other repressions of the Palestinians is well known.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs requested all concerned to refrain from spreading misinformation about this particular situation.
