BNP Central Committee vice chairman and Barishal divisional organizational team head Abdul Awal Mintoo said, "We have not yet given up on the movement we have undertaken to re-establish the rights of the people. As a liberal democratic party, it is our responsibility and duty to establish the rights of the people. The kind of well-organized and united party that is needed to fulfill that responsibility is being built up."
He told this to the reporters before exchanging views with the Metropolitan BNP Convening Committee at the Barishal Press Club auditorium on Saturday afternoon.
At that time, Abdul Awal Mintoo said, "Of all the social tools that people have established, one of the greatest discoveries is the people's government elected by the people. Our real objective is to establish the people's government, which has not yet been realized."
The meeting was chaired by Barishal Metropolitan BNP convener Moniruzzaman Khan Faruque where BNP executive committee members Rawnakul Islam Tipu, Hasan Mamun, Abu Naser Muhammad Rahmatullah, Metropolitan BNP member secretary Zia Uddin Sikder, and joint convener Afroza Khanam Nasrin were also present.
