BNP has postponed its previously announced 'Swadhinata Concert' by a day, in solidiarity with the ongoing protest against the Israeli genocide in Gaza. The event, which was scheduled to be held in four districts of the country, will be held on April 12 instead of April 11.
Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, president of the concert arranger organization 'Sabar Agey Bangladesh Foundation' and BNP joint secretary general, announced this decision on Monday.
A delegation of the foundation paid a courtesy call on Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner (DMP) Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali on Minto Road in the capital on this day. The decision was announced there.
The organizers said 'Sabar Agey Bangladesh Foundation' condemned and protested against the barbaric genocide committed by Israel in Gaza and Rafah, Palestine. For this reason, the 'Independence Concert' scheduled for April 11 in four divisional cities including the capital Dhaka will be celebrated publicly on April 12, postponed by a day. Apart from Annie, the delegation included Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, the treasurer of 'Sabar Agey Bangladesh Foundation' and chief coordinator of its Dhaka team, members Abdul Monayem Munna, SM Jilani and Zahidul Islam Rony, among others were present there.
