Chief Adviser (CA) Professor Muhammad Yunus laid the foundation stone of Sampriti Bhaban at the International Buddhist Monastery in Dhaka on Sunday morning.
He attended the event as the chief guest at a ceremony organised by the Bangladesh Buddhist Federation, reports BSS.
Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain and Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Adviser Supradip Chakma were also present at the inauguration, among others.
The ceremony was presided over by Deputy Sangharaja Venerable Dharmapriya Mahathera.
Later, the chief adviser visited the main prayer hall and the monastery.
