BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said, "We all parties did the July Movement together. Now a group has come to power by taking credit for the movement. And they are saying that the country should be governed according to the rules given to them. Attempts are being made to hijack the revolution and come to power. This is the method of that degenerate dictatorship."

Amir Khasru said, "Those who do not believe in democracy are trying to adopt dictatorial methods like Sheikh Hasina for power. They are making various claims including constitutional reform and country reform. The country will be governed through an elected government."
At this time, highlighting the contribution of private universities in the July Movement, the BNP Standing Committee member further said, "Private universities acted as saviors and rescued people during the movement. A documentary should be made about the contribution of private universities. The government is giving many types of declarations, but the declarations should also be given while acknowledging the contribution of private universities.”
