Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman paid a courtesy visit to Interim Government Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House, Jamuna on Sunday.
During the meeting, the Army Chief outlined security measures for the upcoming Eid, including efforts to ensure smooth traffic flow on major roads and secure transport hubs such as launch terminals, train stations, and bus stands. He also updated the Chief Adviser on coordination between industrial workers and owners to maintain stability during the holiday period and discussed ongoing military activities.
The Chief Adviser was also briefed on the Bangladesh Army’s initiative to organize iftar and doa mahfil in all cantonments, honoring those injured in the July uprising. As part of this effort, financial assistance is being provided to the families of wounded and martyred fighters.
The Army Chief concluded the meeting by extending Eid greetings to the Chief Adviser. In response, the Chief Adviser commended the Army’s professionalism and dedication to national security, expressing confidence that it would continue safeguarding the country with commitment and discipline.
