A mild heat wave is currently sweeping through the Rajshahi division, as well as the districts of Dinajpur, Sayedpur, and Chuadanga, reports BSS.
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures during the day and night may slightly decrease in the northern regions of the country, while remaining relatively unchanged elsewhere.
The Met office attributed this weather pattern to a trough of low pressure over West Bengal and nearby areas, coupled with the seasonal low over the South Bay. The forecast predicts mostly dry conditions with occasional partly cloudy skies across the country, and the possibility of rain or thunderstorms with lightning flashes. Gusty winds may also occur in isolated areas of the northeastern region.
Yesterday, the highest temperature recorded was 38.0°C in Rajshahi, while the lowest was 16.0°C in Dimla, Rangpur Division.
In Dhaka, today’s sunset will occur at 6:15 PM, and tomorrow’s sunrise is expected at 5:49 AM.
