Chief Adviser's press secretary, Shafiqul Alam, commented that the government is now well-established both economically and politically, and the situation in the country has significantly improved.

He said, "The Interim Government is now well-organized. There was a lot of concern about law and order, but the situation is improving. The prices of commodities remained stable throughout Ramadan. Both economically and politically, the government is now quite established."

Shafiqul Alam made these remarks during the 'Golper Eid' program on 'News24', marking the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. His wife, Sabina Jahan Luma, a teacher by profession, was also present.

Quoting Chief Adviser, the press secretary said, "Although Sir (CA) says we are still in a state of war, we believe there has been a significant shift from where we were in August."

He also confirmed that the national election will be held between December of this year and June 30 of the next year.

"Sir's statement is that the election will be held in December if political parties seek minimal reforms. Otherwise, it could take place anytime before June 30, 2026. It could be in February or March—this will depend on discussions with the parties," he said.

"However, the Election Commission is prepared to hold the election by December," Shafiqul Alam added.

Highlighting the achievements of the Interim Government, he said, "The achievements are many, though not visible. I see them. When a Revolution happens, it creates chaos, situations, but the people of Bangladesh have not witnessed that. The main reason for this is Professor Yunus's leadership qualities. Look at how he handled the entire situation. We have received massive foreign support, and Bangladesh is being recognized in a new light. Our economy is recovering, and I would say that law and order is improving."

"After the election, the Interim Government will hand over Bangladesh to the elected government, and I believe it will be in a much better and healthier condition," he said.

Regarding the Interim Government 's shortcomings, Shafiqul Alam said, "I think we couldn't instill the confidence in the police force as quickly as needed. We struggled a lot in this area, but I believe it will be resolved within a month."

Sharing his vision for Bangladesh's future, he said, "I believe Bangladesh will one day become a great power. In the next 20 to 40 years, Bangladesh will emerge as a wealthy nation and be part of a prosperous civilization."
