Friends of Bashundhara Shuvosangho's Lalmai Upazila branch celebrated Eid by visiting tourist attractions. On Tuesday afternoon, they visited 11 tourist attractions in the upazila, including the Cumilla center of Bangladesh Betar, and spoke to the people concerned to learn the history of the tourist attractions.
The tourist attractions are- Bangladesh Betar's Cumilla center, Dakatia River, Lalmai Railway Station, Haratoli Memorial (mass grave of the 71's brave martyrs), centenary Bagmara High School, platinum-aged Harishchar Union High School and College, Al Isra Madrasa, the largest female school in Lalmai, Upazila Model Mosque, Upazila Complex, Agamon Food Park and Alishahar Railway Station.
Led by Daily Kalerkantho's Cumilla Sadar South-Lalmai correspondent and Lalmai Reporters Unity President Zahirul Islam, the joyous visit was attended by Bashundhara Shuvosangho's Lalmai branch advisor Dr. Shamim Iqbal Majumder, Lalmai Reporters Unity general secretary and PKNews24 editor Pradeep Majumder, Daily Tritiya Mata correspondent Abdul Matin, Bashundhara Shuvosangho's Lalmai branch president Mofizul Islam Munna, vice-president Maulana Masum Billah Muhajir, Nafiu Zaman, general secretary Kazi Yakub Ali Nimel, joint general secretary Riaz Uddin, Emdadul Haque Rifat, organizing secretary Marup Siraji, co-organizing secretary Ariful Islam Shraban, event editor Yamin, finance editor Saikat, member Ritesh Majumder and Quran Hifz student Misbahul Islam, among others.
Later, members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho paid a courtesy call on Professor Dr. Motaher Hossain Jewel, Principal of Kriti Santhan Enam Medical College in Lalmai Upazila, Associate Professor Dr. Saleh Ahmed of Cumilla Medical College, BCS Education Cadre Officer Mohammad Shahidul Islam, Educationist Md. Kamal Hossain, Tourism Businessman Mahbub Hosais Sumon, Joint District Judge Didar Hossain, Advocate Kamrun Nahar Liza, Medicine Specialist Dr. Ahsan Ullah, and Medical Officer of Manoharganj Upazila Hospital Dr. Nur Mohammad Shaheen.
