BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman attended the Eid congregation at Kingsmeadow Stadium in Kingston area at 9 am local time on Sunday in London.
He arrived at the ground shortly after 9 am to participate in the Eid prayers at the largest open ground in West London.
Tarique Rahman was accompanied by Begum Zia's personal physician Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain and UK BNP leader Kamal Uddin. Several BNP leaders and activists were already present there at the time.
It was known from the previous day that Tarique Rahman would participate in the Eid prayers at this open ground if the weather was good. If the weather was bad, he would have offered Eid prayers at Kingston Mosque.
After the Eid prayers, Tarique Rahman exchanged greetings and hugs with community figures and BNP leaders from different areas of London.
Meanwhile, Tarique Rahman got the opportunity to celebrate Eid with his mother Khaleda Zia after almost a decade. Begum Khaleda Zia came to London on January 8 for treatment.
