A fire broke out in a carriage of the Mohua Commuter Train at Sreepur in Gazipur, leading to a complete suspension of train services on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route.
The incident occurred around 11:15 am today (April 3) near the Satkhamair railway station.
Mahammad Mamun, Deputy Assistant Director of Gazipur Fire Service, confirmed the incident.
He said that the fire started in the power car coach of the Mohua Commuter Train. Upon receiving the report, two firefighting units from Sreepur Fire Service arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control.
As of now, no casualties have been reported.
