Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, the Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, made a comment that the July Revolution of students and people in 2024 against the autocratic rule of the Awami League marked a positive change in history.
He said, “Through this change, the Almighty Allah has made Bangladesh fertile and placed it in our hands. What we cultivate on this land and how we cultivate it will depend on us.”
He made these remarks as the chief guest at a gathering held at the Al-Falah Auditorium in the capital on Monday (November 25) at 8 PM.
He said, “People are praying and hoping that good people may come to power.”
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman also feels that people now have growing expectations from Jamaat. He also feels that many are even willing to work for the party
Referring to the party's martyred leaders, he said, “Thousands of conspiracies exist and will continue to exist. As long as there is ‘Duniya’, there will be conspiracies. There has never been a time free from such schemes. Even Satan conspired against the Prophet Adam. For this reason, Allah revealed a surah in the Quran to protect people from both ‘human devils’ and ‘jinn devils’.”
He reminded the leaders and activists that achieving Taqwa (piety) and Tawakkul (reliance on Allah and having complete faith in him) is essential to become a beloved servant of Allah.
Jamaat Ameer also stated, “Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is not merely a political organization, nor a social organization, nor just a Dawah (invitation to Islam) organization. It is a complete organization for the Deen (religion). It encompasses all aspects, with nothing left out.”
He urged the leaders and activists of his party to make sure that the love people have shown Jamaat is preserved and protected with care.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “If we can nurture the love of the people, then Allah will fulfill our hunger and thirst for establishing the Deen. We are not seeking victory for the deen just for ourselves, but for our entire Ummah. If the Ummah achieves victory, we will also be a part of it, InshaAllah.”
