Police have recovered the bodies of four of a family from a house in Bhairab upazila of Kishoreganj.
The bodies were found on Tuesday (November 26) evening in a house in the Ranir Bazar area of Bhairab municipality.
The deceased were identified as Jony Biswas (32), his wife Nipa Rani Biswas (26), their son Dhrubo Biswas (7), and daughter Kotha Biswas (5).
Jony Biswas and his family members hailed from Raipura upazila of Narsingdi district and used to live in a rented house in the area. He was a workshop mechanic.
Bhairab Police Station Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Md Shahin said the body of Jony was found hanging and his wife’s body was found with a throat slit. Their two children might be strangled, police suspect.
Being informed police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
The bodies were sent to Kishoreganj Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the deaths, added the police officer.
