Urging all to keep patient, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said if the interim government fails, the country will also fail.
“If the mass uprising fails, the country will once again plunge into darkness,” he said.
Mirza Fakhrul came up with the observation while speaking at a publication ceremony of a book written on BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman at a city hotel on Tuesday (November 26).
On the parliamentary election, he said the interim government would have to hold the polls after completing minimal reformations. An elected government is needed to resolve the ongoing problems of the country. Only an elected government can resolve all problems because they have public support.
The senior leader of the party said the media is being attacked. Some unruly men and instigators are creating unrest by attacking on media. He also called upon these agitators not to engage in such activities.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam said Tarique Rahman had worked at every moment during the July mass uprising. He (Tarique) even led the movement by contacting the coordinators.
