Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain on Tuesday clarified that Chinmoy Krishna Das has been arrested on charges of sedition, not as a leader of any community.
“No one will be spared if anyone is involved in incidents like sedition, no matter who he or she is,” Asif Mahmud came up with the warning after attending a function in Pirgacha Upazila of Rangpur on Tuesday.
He said, “The interim government will take stern actions against the anti-state conspirators”, saying that the members of the law enforcement agencies will take appropriate measures for the sake of the country’s overall security.
“We want to make it clear that if anyone involved in sedition, no matter who he is, no matter how big a leader, he will not be spared. Law and order forces will take measures not in consideration of the community, but in consideration of the security of the state,” Adviser Asif Mahmud said.
Regarding the arrest Chinmoy Das, The adviser said that he was arrested not as a leader of any community, but for sedition. No conspiracy against the independence, sovereignty and state of Bangladesh will be accepted.
