Bangladesh suffered the second biggest defeat in their World Cup Football Qualifiers history against Australia on Thursday.
In their opening Group I match held at the AAMI Park Stadium in Melbourne, Bangladesh just got crushed by the much superior Australia.
The winning team took a 4-0 lead in the first half before adding three more goals to the scoresheet against a helpless Bangladesh, thanks to a second half hattrick from substitute forward Jamie Maclaren.
The charges of Spanish coach Javier Cabrera could neither show their improvements they wanted to demonstrate against much superior Australia, nor salvage the respectability in the margin of defeat despite almost all of the BD-players were inside the box from the outset.
