In a call for peace and harmony, Bashundhara Shuvosangho has organized a tree plantation program in Agailjhara, Barishal.
As part of this programme on Sunday afternoon, a Bakul tree sapling was planted on the grounds of Ghorapar Deepottivaban Registered Primary School, under the initiative of the Agailjhara branch of Bashundhara Shuvosangho.
Former chairman of Agailjhara Upazila Parishad Jatindranath Mistry, President of Ghorapar Deepottivaban School’s Managing Committee Father Sanjoy Jermaine Gomez, Priest of Narail Church Father Babul Sarkar, Head Teacher of Ghorapar Deepottivaban Registered Primary School Sister Milon Scholastica Krush, Secretary of the Education Commission of Barishal Catholic Diocese Anya Guda, Adviser to Agailjhara Shuvosangho SM Omar Ali Sani and Shuvosangho member Engineer Richard Biswas attended the event.
During the tree plantation, the guests remarked that Ghorapar Deepottivaban Registered Primary School is a prestigious educational institution. Following an interfaith dialogue at the school grounds, Bashundhara Shuvosangho planted the Bakul sapling as a symbol of peace and harmony. The initiative highlighted the belief that harmony is essential for establishing peace.
