Bashundhara Shuvosangho announced the finalisation of new committee for its Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit on Wednesday.
Md Asaduzzaman, a fourth-year student of the Department of Law and Justice, has been appointed as the president, while Mayisha Jahin, a third-year student of the Department of Finance and Banking, will act as general secretary.
Bashundhara Shuvosangho Director Zakaria Zaman declared the new committee, issuing a press release.
Other members of the committee are: vice presidents Sanjida Parveen and Ratna Khatun, Joint General Secretary Kawsar Alam Kajal, Organising Secretary Mahjabin Afroz, Co-Organising Secretary Imran Hossain, Office Secretary Md Laden, Finance Secretary Suhartadoula Anik, Publicity and Publication Secretary Rudra Prasad Karmakar, Social Welfare Secretary Safayat Hossain Sagar, Sports Secretary Shuvo Ahmed, Communication Secretary Gaurab Gop, Planning Secretary Md Nafiz Al Noman, Literature Secretary Md Ariful Islam, Associate Literature Secretary SM Iftekhar Hossain, Women Affairs Secretary Pratyasha Rani, Education and Reading Circle Secretary Tithi Das, Event Secretary Mehedi Hasan, Health Secretary Shatabdi Roy, Hospitality Secretary Rakib Ahmed and Relief Management Secretary Kabir Ahmed.
In addition, the executive members are Sanjida Khanam, Md Rubai Hossain, Md Zubayer Hossain, and Toufiq Elahi.
In addition, the committee includes Prof Jamal Uddin, director of the University’s Student Welfare and Counseling Centre; Prof Nazrul Islam; Prof Md Rabiul Islam, President of the Law and Justice Department; and Associate Professor Rezaul Rakib, Assistant Proctor of the University, as advisors.
