The Government Azizul Haque College unit of Bashundhara Shuvosangho has provided Eid gifts to the family of Abdul Malek, a paralysed man from Bogura who lost his hand in an accident.
Members of Shuvosangho delivered a gift package containing rice, semai, sugar, potatoes, onions, lentils, powdered milk, pilaf rice, oil, salt, and cash to Abdul Malek on Thursday.
“Everything is the grace of Almighty Allah,” said Abdul Malek, expressing his gratitude to Bashundhara Shuvosangho.
Present at the event were Shuvosangho College unit president Nazmul Hasan, general secretary Muniruzzaman, principal Prof Md Shawkat Alam Mir, vice-principal Prof Md Abdul Wahed Sarkar, Prof Harun Ibne Salam from the management department, Prof Md Rafiqul Islam from the mathematics department, Md Asadullah-Al-Gani from the physics department, Md Taslima Khatun from the sociology department, Mehedi Hasan from the management department, Md Jamiur Rahman from ICT, and Kaler Kantho multimedia reporter Md Tahmidur Rahman.
“We always want to support good causes like this. We started on a small scale, but we are thankful to the Shuvosangho organisers for their efforts. We hope to expand this initiative in the future,” said Prof Md Shawkat Alam Mir.
Shuvosangho members Abu Sayem Nishat, Abu Talha, SM Tariqul Islam, Tarmin Akhter, Nur Nabi Hossain Nabi, Md Mehedi Hasan Rakib, Asia Akhter Shila, Md Abdur Rouf Sajeeb, Jannatul Nayem, and Jannatul Ferdous also attended the event.
