Leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP) met diplomats of the European countries on Tuesday and discussed the party’s views and priorities.
Both sides also discussed the European Union's support for Bangladesh's democratic transition, reports UNB.
The ambassador-designate and head of the EU delegation to Bangladesh, Michael Miller, among others, were present at the meeting.
"Insightful exchange today with the newly formed National Citizen Party," said the EU Embassy in Dhaka after the meeting.
NCP Convener Nahid Islam and its Senior Joint Member Secretary Dr Tasnim Jara joined the meeting.
"Honoured to join our Convener Nahid Islam in a candid exchange with the Ambassadors and representatives of the European Union and eight European states — Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland and Norway," Dr Jara said in a post from her verified Facebook account.
