Bashundhara Shuvosangho observed the birth anniversary of Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Huq with different programmes in Gopalganj and Mirpur, Dhaka on Saturday.
The volunteers’ platform hosted quiz competitions based on the biography of Sher-e-Bangla for the students of Sarwarjan Biswas College in Gopalganj and pupils of different colleges in the Goalbari area of Mirpur on the same day.
In Gopalganj, Sarwarjan Biswas College acting principal Mohammad Ali Biswas, lecturers Nazmul Hossain, Polash Mollik and Rabeya Zaman, lecturer Mujahidul Islam of Gopalganj Regent College, Shuvosangho district unit General Secretary Sujan Das and Organising Secretary Turja Rahman were present on the occasion.
Mohammad Ali Biswas said Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s programmes always inspire youths to learn about the national leaders and the country’s glorious history.
Sharmin Khanam secured the top position in the competition followed by Faysal Sheikh and Sumaiya Akhter as runners-up.
In Mirpur, Sheikh Muhammad Farhan of Notre Dame College secured the top position, while Wali Khan Yusufzai of Milestone College and Abdullah Razin of Shaheed Police Smrity College secured the second and third positions, respectively, in the competition.
