BNP will meet with Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus at the state guest house Jamuna, Dr Yunus's official residence, on Wednesday to discuss a specific election roadmap.
BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed said that during the meeting with the Chief Adviser, the party would demand a specific roadmap from the government to hold elections by December.
“We will specifically seek the Chief Adviser for a clear roadmap for the upcoming national elections before December. He should present it clearly to the nation through an appropriate process so that the prevailing sense of uncertainty is removed,” he said.
Salahuddin said, “We will say that this is enough time. Earlier, we met the Election Commission. They (EC) said they would be able to complete all preparations by June. The Chief Adviser has also previously assured us that all activities are being carried out to hold the elections by December.”
