Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over six divisions and at a few places over another two divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country, reports BSS.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country", said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours begins from 9 am on Tuesday.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Hariyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
Country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 34.5 degree celsius at Dinajpur and minimum temperature was recorded 24.7 degree celsius at Rangamati.
