The head of the Public Administration Reform Commission, Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, has expressed concerns that another revolution could be disastrous.
He stated, "If reforms are not implemented at all levels of the administration, another revolution could occur. While the current revolution hasn't been severe, if another one happens, it will be catastrophic."
He voiced these concerns during a meeting with journalists at the Rajshahi District Commissioner’s office on Tuesday afternoon.
The head of the Reform Commission further mentioned, "People are not the same as before. If something happens, people immediately surround the situation. We cannot just wait for the law to take its course; I have to take action. We must ensure that people do not take the law into their own hands."
Regarding political considerations in the promotion of government officials, Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury remarked, "This is not correct. I have served under various governments and have never compromised on anything. I even became a secretary. If someone joins the administration thinking they will become a secretary for sure, that's wrong. I firmly rejected such ideas."
