The Election Commission Secretary Md Jahangir Alam said the voting in five city corporations will be held between May-June this year.
The commission might announce the election schedule of these five city corporations in April, he said.
He announced after the 16th meeting of the commission.
The Election Commission Secretary said polls in Gazipur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet and Barishal City Corporations will be held in three phases. In this case, all elections will be held within May-June and before Eid-ul-Azha.
