National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chairman Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed has demanded investigation into the explosion that took place at a building adjacent to the BRTC bus counter in Gulistan in the capital, killing 19 people so far and injuring 100 others.
“We have observed the debris and it needs to launch an investigation to find out the exact reason behind the explosion. Incident of the explosion should be investigated to know whether it was a usual chemical blast or a subversive activity,” he said while briefing reporters in front of the building damaged in the explosion around 11:15 am on Wednesday.
On Tuesday afternoon, at least 19 people were killed and over 100 others injured in an explosion at a building in Dhaka’s Gulistan area.
