The state-run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) would sell essential items to one crore low-income group people at low prices twice during the holy month of Ramadan.
In the first phase till March 30, TCB would sell two liters of soybean oil, two kg lentils, one kg sugar and one kg chickpea at low prices.
In the second phase, it would sell oil, sugar and lentil from the first of April to 15 April.
Market concerned think TCB’s low prices selling would bring a positive impact to keep the market stable.
They, however, said the government should expand the TCB selling activities across the country.
Besides, regular and strict market monitoring is a must for the greater interest of the consumers, they opined.
Consumers hope they would find a congenial market during the upcoming Ramadan with a strong market monitoring and watching system.
