At least 7 persons were reportedly killed and 50 injured in an explosion at a building near the BRTC bus counter in Gulistan of the capital, reports BSS.
Firefighters rescued eight critically injured people from the spot, duty officers of fire service headquarters Khaleda Yeasmin and Rashed Bin Khaled told BSS.
The explosion took place at the building situated near Gulistan BRTC bus counter at 4:50 pm, they said, adding five units of fire service rushed to the spot and started rescue operations.
The officials, however, could not immediately provide any further details on this incident.
