Bashundhara Shuvosangho shared food with an underprivileged woman, Saki Akhtar, in Saidpur village under Boalkhali upazila of Chattogram.
Saki, who lives with her daughter and has been facing financial difficulties for years, has received food aid from Bashundhara Shuvosangho.
Members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho's Boalkhali unit handed over the food items to Saki on Friday morning.
Afif Chowdhury, Mostafa Sami, Mohammad Ibrahim, Mohammad Mobarak, Mohammad Munkaishir and Kaler Kantho correspondent Nayem Uddin were present on the occasion.
After receiving the food item, Saki Akhtar said that Bashundhara Shuvosangho stood by my side when there was no rice to cook at home.
The food parcel, including rice, pulses, onions, potatoes and soya oil, will help me survive for a few days, she said.
