RFL Group has commenced the export of grass mats, with the Philippines being its first destination.
The initial consignment of ‘Support’-branded grass mats was recently dispatched to the Philippines from the factory of RFL Plastics Limited, a concern of RFL Group, located at Danga Industrial Park in Narsingdi, according to a press release.
Md Jahangir Alam, executive director at RFL Plastics Limited, said, “Grass mats are primarily used to enhance the aesthetic appeal of both interior and exterior spaces, to create playgrounds, and for various landscaping purposes. Previously, this product had to be imported to meet local demand. However, with our own production capabilities, we are now playing a significant role in fulfilling the country’s needs. As a result, reliance on imports is gradually decreasing, which is contributing to the conservation of foreign currency.”
Ahsan Habib, chief operating officer of RFL Plastics Limited, stated, “We are proud to have exported the ‘Support’ grass mat for the first time. The quality of our products and our production capacity have been acknowledged in the international market. We are now not only meeting domestic demand but are also capable of exporting globally.”
He added, “There is substantial demand for grass mats in European and North American countries. We will begin exporting to these regions soon. To support this, initiatives are underway to expand our factory’s production capacity.”
