Despite numerous obstacles, many students born in impoverished families have achieved 100 percent success in their studies.

With the help of various individuals, hundreds of students who passed their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations successfully in 2022 now face uncertainty about their future education.

After hearing about their struggles through various media outlets, Bashundhara Group, the country’s largest business conglomerate, decided to step in and support them.

Under the guidance of Imdadul Haq Milan, chief of Bashundhara Shuvosangho, the business conglomerate identified at least 102 students from across the country who had overcome significant barriers to achieve good results in their SSC examinations.

On 31January, 2023, Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir, presented each of these students with a scholarship of Tk 25,000 to cover their tuition and other educational expenses.

Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan announced that the company would continue to support these students throughout their academic journey, saying that they will receive assistance until they complete their education.

Since then, under the supervision of Bashundhara Shuvosangho, these students have been receiving scholarships to continue their studies.

This year, many of them achieved excellent results in their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations and they are now preparing for higher education.

Several students expressed their gratitude to Bashundhara Group for the scholarships, which have enabled them to pursue their studies without interruption.

The event was organised by Bashundhara Shuvosangho Director Zakaria Zaman, highlighting the personal experiences of the students who benefited from the support of Bashundhara Group.
