Nine-year-old Jilani studies at Imam Hossain (R) Multipurpose Islamic Complex Orphanage in Patiya upazila of Chattogram.
About fifty students like him study in this orphanage. Their education facilities continue with the financial assistance provided by the people.
Now, Shuvosangho’s Patiya unit has extended its hand to the orphans by distributing educational materials among them to facilitate their studies.
SMA Jewel, president of the greater Chattogram unit Bashundhara Shuvosangho, and Sazzad Hossain and Moinuddin Arif were present on the occasion.
Muhammad Abu Bakar Al Qaderi, founder and chief patron of the orphanage, said, “I am grateful to the members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho for providing these much-needed study materials. The organisation responded to our call and stood by us.
“Thanks to Bashundhara Shuvosangho for standing by these orphans. May Allah grant you [the organisation] the opportunity to stand by the people this way.”
Adviser to the greater Chattogram unit Bashundhara Shuvosangho Md Saifuddin said, “Since its inception, Shuvosangho has been serving the people. We are happy to be a part of this great work. We want to take bigger initiatives in future from Shuvosangho for these orphans.”
