Finance advisor Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed has voiced hope for a more prosperous future for Bangladesh, emphasizing the importance of unity and national progress. Speaking to reporters at the National Memorial in Savar on Wednesday, he paid tribute to the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War.
“March 26 is a historic day for our country. We remember with deep respect those who sacrificed their lives for our independence. Today’s Bangladesh stands on the foundation of their courage and sacrifices,” he said.
Dr. Ahmed also highlighted the significance of the 24th student uprising, calling it another milestone in the nation's journey. “Independence Day and August 5 are both remarkable days in our history. We must always observe them with the highest respect,” he added.
The finance advisor expressed confidence that Bangladesh will continue to grow as a happier and more prosperous nation, strengthening its position in the world. “For that, we all must work together,” he urged.
