Japanese Ambassador to Iwama Kiminori on Wednesday met interim government Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus at state guesthouse Jamuna and discussed issues of mutual interest, reports UNB.
Adviser Ali Imam Majumder, Principal Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Lamiya Morshed and Chief Adviser’s press secretary Shafiqul Alam were, among others, present.
Earlier, Japan strongly hoped that through a peaceful and democratic political transition, Bangladesh will keep advancing on a path towards stable development.
Under the "Strategic Partnership" enshrined between the two countries, Japan said it will continue its support for Bangladesh's development and prosperity, standing side by side with the transition process to be led by Chief Advisor Dr Yunus of the interim government.
