A Chattogram court denied the bail plea of Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, spokesperson of Bangladesh Sammilita Sanatani Jagran Jote and principal of Pundarik Dham.
Judge Kazi Shariful Islam of the Chattogram 6th Metropolitan Magistrate's Court issued the order on Tuesday (Nov 26), at approximately 11:45 am.
Advocate Dilip Kumar Nath, the defense lawyer for the accused, said that the court denied the bail plea.
Chinmoy Krishna, also a former ISKCON leader, was produced before the court in connection with a case filed on 31 October.
He was arrested by the Detective Branch (DB) of police from the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport area on Monday evening.
The case filed with Kotwali Police Station named Chinmoy Krishna and 18 others as accused.
He was produced before the court around 10:30 am under tight security.
