The Cox’s Bazar district administration has allowed a tourist ship Keari Sindbad to operate on the Cox's Bazar-St. Martin's route.
Cox's Bazar Additional District Magistrate Nizam Uddin Ahmed confirmed the matter on Monday. He said that the tourist ship Keari Sindbad had applied to the District Commissioner only for operating on that route. They have given permission to the ship in thsi regard.
However, a committee formed by the ministry will finalize when it will go to the island.
Nilufa Yasmin Chowdhury, convener of the committee formed by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer, said that they have called a meeting of the committee on November 27. The meeting will decide from where the ship will depart.
