Bangladesh national tennis team, who ranked sixth out of 15 nations in the recently concluded 2024 Davis Cup Asia-Oceania Zone Group V, returned to Dhaka from Bahrain on Monday, reports The Daily Sun.
The six-member national tennis team, which ended third in the four-team Group D, lost to the hosts by 0-3 and Yemen by 1-2, but beat Tajikistan by 3-0.
They lost to Guam by 0-3 in the playoffs (fifth/sixth place decider) and ranked sixth on Saturday.
Earlier, a six-member team left Dhaka on Monday. The members of the team were: players - Zarif Abrar, Hanif Munna, Md Rustam Ali, Md Deen Islam, Alamgir Hossain, and team captain: Md Khaled Ahmed.
