Mushfiqur Rahim will miss the upcoming three-match ODI series due to an incomplete recovery from the finger injury he sustained during the ODI series against Afghanistan, having already been ruled out of the Test series.
According to sources, another scan will be conducted on Sunday or Monday to assess the current state of Mushfiqur's injury.
Even if the report is favorable, he will require at least two to three weeks for rehabilitation.
Based on this timeline, it is clear that Mushfiqur will not be available for the ODI series.
While Mushfiqur’s unavailability for the Caribbean tour is a setback, there is some relief regarding regular captain Najmul Hossain.
The top-order batter, who is missing the Test series due to a groin injury, underwent a medical assessment by the BCB’s medical team yesterday, with the results expected today.
The selectors are optimistic about Najmul’s recovery and are planning to include him in the ODI squad based on the progress of his rehabilitation.
